How To Make Jason’s Deli Broccoli Cheese Soup

Copycat Jason’s deli broccoli cheese soup recipe is a savoury dish made with broccoli, carrots, onions, garlic, cheese, milk, butter, milk powder, cream, and white wine. The broccoli cheese soup will have you thinking of comfort food, but it’s not your basic broccoli soup. This super simple soup comes together in just 10 minutes.


  • Unsalted butter, 2 sticks
  • Onions (chopped), ½ cup
  • Baby carrots (chopped), 2-3 
  • Celery (chopped), 2 teaspoon
  • Chicken broth, 2 cups
  • Milk, 1 cup
  • Dried thyme, 1 teaspoon
  • Broccoli (chopped), 2-pieces
  • Cornstarch, ½ cup 
  • Salt, ½ teaspoon
  • Garlic powder, ½ teaspoon
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • Cheddar cheese, 1 cup


Step 1

In a saucepan, melt butter sticks. Stir in chopped onions and baby carrots. Saute the vegetables for a couple of minutes to make them tender.

Add chicken broth to the saucepan and top with celery. Whisk to combine the ingredients. Add sliced broccoli to the chicken broth and season with salt and pepper. Gently stir the ingredients to mix the spices well.
