Ingredients

  • 2 cups Frozen Costco edamame in pods
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 6 cups Water

Instructions

  • In a pot add water and salt. Boil on a high flame till it is boiling.
  • Once the water is boiled, add the thawed edamame pods in it and further boil for 5 minutes so that the pods are tender enough to release the beans.
  • When all the beans have been released by the pods, strain them and collect the beans in a bowl.
  • Sprinkle the kosher salt on the beans. Costco edamame is ready. Enjoy with a glass of foaming beer.

Notes

  • Use a lot of salt in the boiling procedure to get it incorporated inside the beans and bring more flavour.
  • Cook the beans so that they are still firm to bite because they will keep softening later on too.
  • Do not use run in the cold water strategy to cool down the edamame. You will ruin them. Better serve them hot.
