Ingredients
  

  • 1 Carrot (cut in round shape)
  • 1 1/2 cups  Water
  • 1/2 cup Bourbon
  • 1/4 cup Maple syrup
  • 1 3/4 cups White vinegar
  • 2-3  Cucumbers diced lengthwise for pickling size
  • Hot pepper (seeded and sliced)
  • 8 cloves Garlic
  • Red bell pepper (seeded and sliced in strips)
  • 1 tablespoon Pickle spice
  • 1/2 tablespoon Red pepper flakes
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon Dill seed
  • 4 springs Fresh dill weed
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon Kosher Salt

Instructions
 

  • In a sizable bowl, combine water, bourbon, vinegar, maple syrup, and spices. Whisk thoroughly.
  • Add vegetables, ensuring the pickling liquid covers them. Cover and marinate.
  • Remove veggies. Prepare jars. Layer cucumber, pepper, and garlic evenly.
  • Drizzle pickling liquid over veggies. Seal jars tightly. Refrigerate for 2 weeks.
  • After refrigeration, relish your pickles with any meal. It's a treat.

Notes

  • Use fresh, crunchy cucumbers for the best texture.
  • Let the pickles soak for at least 24 hours for the best flavour.
