- 1 cup Jasmine rice
- 1 ¾ cup Chicken broth or water
- 3 tsp Sesame oil
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup carrots
- 1/3 cup Frozen peas
- 1/4 cup Green onion (sliced)
- 1/3 cup Fresh bean sprouts
- 3 tablespoon Soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Ground mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon Ginger (minced)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic (minced)
- 2 teaspoon Molasses
Boil chicken broth (or water) in a saucepan. Pour in the rice and simmer for 15 minutes until any liquid is absorbed by the rice.
In the meantime, combine soy sauce, mustard, garlic, ginger, and molasses and set aside.
Once the rice is ready, remove it from the heat. Add 1 tsp of sesame oil to a stir fry pan and heat. Break an egg into the pan and scramble it.
As soon as the eggs are scrambled, add 1 tsp sesame oil. Stir fry carrots, peas, green onion, and bean sprouts for 3-4 minutes.
Add the remaining tsp of sesame oil and rice, and stir fry for 3-4 minutes. Distribute rice around the pan so that as much as possible is spread out.
Add the soy sauce mixture and stir fry for another 3-4 minutes. Garnish with green onions. Serve!
