Ingredients
  

  • 2 sticks unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375° Fahrenheit. The sides and bottom of a 9-inch baking pan should be greased with butter and covered with parchment paper. Spread sugar on both the sides and bottom.
  • In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine butter and sugar, and beat until fluffy. Stir in flour and baking powder gradually until well combined.
  • Beat in eggs one by one. Then, add vanilla, almond extract, and buttermilk, and beat until the batter is fluffy and light.
  • Pour the batter into the cake pan. Place the pan in the preheated oven and Bake for about 50 minutes until the cake is golden brown.
  • Allow the cake to cool for five minutes. Then remove it from the pan and cool it on a cooling rack. serve it with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
