- 10 slices sourdough bread, diced into 1/2-inch cubes
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 onion (diced)
- 2 carrots (peeled and diced)
- 2 stalks of celery (diced)
- 1/2 teaspoon sage (dried)
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme (dried)
- 1/4 teaspoon rosemary (dried)
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley leaves (chopped)
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lay out the bread cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer.
Place in the oven and bake for about 4-5 minutes or until crisp and golden.
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Then add the carrots, celery, onion, and garlic.
Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender. Add sage, thyme, and rosemary and stir until fragrant, about a minute.
Add the bread cubes and gently toss to combine. Add chicken stock and parsley; cover and remove from heat. Allow to sit for 10 minutes. Enjoy!
