Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz Parmesan cheese (¼ cup, finely grated)
  • 2 tbsp All purpose flour
  • 2 oz Whole milk (¼ cup)
  • 1 oz Cream cheese
  • 4 oz Heavy cream (½ cup)
  • 2 oz Butter (¼ cup, unsalted)
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Take a large skillet and add the unsalted butter to it.
  • Place the skillet on medium heat.
  • Melt the butter.
  • Then slowly add flour and whisk.
  • Cook for about a minute until it starts browning.
  • Add Parmesan cheese and whisk it.
  • Slowly add milk, cream cheese, and cream one by one and whisk.
  • Keep whisking for 2 minutes until the consistency is somewhat thickened.
  • To balance the thickness of the sauce, you can add more heavy cream.
  • Add salt and freshly ground black pepper according to your taste.
  • Your quick and super-easy Parmesan cheese sauce is ready. Serve it with pasta, shrimp, vegetables, steak, chicken thighs, or any other recipe you want. Bon Appetit!

Notes

  • Try to use the best Parmesan cheese.
  • If you are adding salt, do not add it all at once. Instead, first, add a pinch, taste it, and then adjust according to the need because the sauce will already be a bit salty due to the cheese.
  • Make sure that you stir and whisk the ingredients properly and continuously.
  • For even cooking, try using a big skillet.
  •  Try to use freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
  • If you have some leftover sauce, you can store it for sure. But do not refrigerate it for more than 4 days otherwise it will start losing its creaminess and flavor.
  • If you are using the sauce with paste, when you add the sauce to the pasta, also add some drops of milk. It will help to loosen the sauce and pasta and balance the thickness to a moderate and required level. You can increase or decrease the amount of milk according to your level of doneness.
