This Mexican Coffee Recipe is a shot of espresso with Kahlua. It’s also known as Cafe de Olla, and it’s one of my favourite drinks to enjoy after dinner. The drink has a rich coffee flavour that I love, but the addition of Kahlua gives it an extra kick that makes this drink perfect for dessert or anytime you might want something sweet. Best of all, this Mexican coffee recipe is so easy to make!
Pour hot coffee into 2 Irish coffee mugs or glasses about halfway. Stir in coffee liqueur and tequila. Mix well.
Use a hand mixer to whip cream until it is between liquid and whipped cream. Your goal should be loose, pourable whipped cream. Add sugar as well and whip until well combined.
Put a teaspoon upside down over the top of a mug. Fill the mug with whipped cream by pouring it slowly over the spoon. Repeat with the second mug. Sprinkle cinnamon on top.
