Panda express broccoli beef is the perfect combination of flavors. In fact, this is a recipe that anybody who loves Chinese food will enjoy. The sauce can be used with a variety of different cuts of beef, so you will never get bored with this recipe.
2 tablespoons seasoned wok oil or other high heat oil such as grapeseed plus a splash of sesame oil
2 teaspoons garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon ginger (minced)
Cooked rice (for serving)
Instructions
Combine all the ingredients for the finishing sauce in a small bowl. Place aside.
Prepare the flank steak by cutting it extremely thin and placing it in a bowl. Mix the cornstarch and rice wine together and pour over the steak pieces. Make sure all of the meat is well coated. Marinate for 15 minutes.
Steam the broccoli just until it turns bright green while the steak marinates. Take the broccoli out of the steamer. Do not cook it until it is fully tender; it will finish cooking as it is stir-fried.
Heat a large skillet or wok until it is hot. Add oil and swirl it around. Place meat in one layer and cook until browned. Flip the beef slices over, add the garlic and ginger, and mix well.
Add the broccoli. Then, pour the finishing sauce over the beef and broccoli. Mix everything together until the sauce thickens. Serve with rice. Enjoy!
