- 4 cup Sliced peaches (from about 2 lb.)
- 1/3 cup Granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon or cardamom
- 1/4 tsp Kosher salt
- 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Light brown sugar
- 1 stick Salted butter, melted
Set the oven to 375 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine the peach slices, granulated sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, cinnamon, and kosher salt.
In a 9-inch-deep dish pie pan or an 8-by-8-inch baking dish, pour the mixture.
In the same basin, combine the flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. When the mixture is crumbly, add the melted butter and whisk.
The topping should be strewn over the peach mixture.
Bake for about 40 minutes, or until bubbling and golden. If desired, serve with vanilla ice cream.
