Ingredients
  

  • None Such Mincemeat 1 jar
  • Finely Sliced Apples 3
  • Sugar 75 g
  • Eggs 3
  • All-purpose flour 450 grams
  • Unsalted butter 200 grams
  • 4 tbsp of water

Instructions
 

  • First of all, take 450 grams of all-purpose flour in a bowl. Then add 200 grams of creamy butter to it. For easy handling, it is better to cut butter into small cubes. Instead of all-purpose flour, you can also go with gluten free flour which will be more beneficial health wise.
  • The second step is mixing and for this purpose, you can use Mixer but I would highly suggest doing it by your hands. Mixing by hands will give a fine texture required in this None Such Mincemeat Recipe. Pour the flour on the butter cubes and then mix it with your hands gently.
  • Continue rubbing the mixer until you get a loose bread-crumb like structure. Then add 75 grams of sugar to add sweetness to the mixture and after adding sugar mix it well for even distribution.
  • You have to take three eggs and separate the whites and yolks. Add the yolks to the mixture and place whites aside for later use. With the help of forks mix the yolks gently with the mixture.
  • Add 2-3 tablespoons of cold water to the mixture, mix it well and it will start the mixture to ball together. Now, using your hands again, gently squeeze the dough into a ball.
  • When you get a soft and smooth dough, not so sticky then take it out of the bowl, wrap it with plastic paper and let it chill for thirty minutes.
  • Now it’s time to use an oven. In the lower side of the oven, place a rack and preheat your oven to 420 F. Take out your chilled dough and divide it into two halves. Take the one half and start rolling it to the thickness of one-quarter of an inch.
  • Now, take a crusted pie plate and first place the slices of apples on it. Then layer the None Such Mincemeat mixture over the sliced apples with the help of a spoon.
  • Cover your crust with the top and brush the egg whites on top of it. Add some caster sugar to it.
  • Now it’s time for Baking!! Put your pie in the lower half of the oven and bake for 10 minutes. Then lower the temperature to 375 F and then bake it for 20 minutes.
