Hawaiian Pickled Onions Recipe

One of my favourite ways to eat hawaiian pickled onions is together with avocado toast. It really livens up the skillet along with the tangy hawaiian pickled onions would be the ideal contrast to this rich, creamy avocado.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 pkg. 10 oz. frozen small whole onions
  • 1/2 cup Rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Hawaiian salt
  • * Crushed red pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Remove seeds and membrane from bell pepper.
  • slice into 1/4-inch strips.
  • Place bell pepper and onions in a glass jar.
  • Combine remaining ingredients and pour over vegetables.
  • Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight.
  • shake occasionally. Makes 8 servings.
