I love cajun fried shrimp. I love them in just about every way, shape, and form! However, I’m pretty picky when it comes to meat. I’m happy with pork, chicken, turkey, fish, and anything else. However, I often run into shrimp at the store. It’s not everywhere yet, but I’ve seen shrimp on sale at Costco. So, after many years of experimenting on my own, I finally figured out the perfect cajun fried shrimp recipe!

In a large bowl, combine the sifted flour, old bay seasoning, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, lemon & pepper seasoning, coriander, black pepper and salt.
Dip the shrimp into the flour mixture and coat each shrimp evenly with the mixture. Let them rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
In a bowl, whisk egg and milk together. Dip the shrimp in an egg wash to completely coat them and then into a flour mixture to completely coat them and then onto a clean plate.
In a deep fryer, heat the oil to 375 degrees F. Fill the pan with enough oil so that the shrimp is completely covered. Fry shrimp in batches for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
Take the shrimp out of the oil and lay them on a paper towel to drain. Serve with your favourite Red Beans & Rice or Remoulade Sauce in a basket.
