Ingredients

  • 10 Chicken wings small
  • 48 oz Shortening
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp Kraft Macaroni & Cheese cheddar
  • 1 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Chilli powder
  • 3/4 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp Onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp Ground cumin
  • Dash ground clove
  • 2 tbsp Crystal Louisiana hot sauce
  • 1 tsp Water

Instructions

  • Heat the shortening to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Combine the wing coating ingredients in a medium bowl to create the spiced breading. Mix well.
  • Dip each wing in the breading, one at a time. Coat each with the bread lightly. Spread the breaded wings on a plate and let them sit for about 15 minutes in the refrigerator.
  • Lower the wings into the hot shortening or oil. Cook them until they are brown, about 7 to 10 minutes.
  • Mix the hot sauce with the water in a small bowl while the wings are frying.
  • Dry the wings on paper towels or a wire rack for a moment after cooking. Transfer hot wings into a plastic container with a lid. Drizzle the sauce over the wings. Cover and gently shake the container to distribute the sauce evenly.
  • Take the wings out of the container using tongs. Place them on a serving plate accompanied by bleu cheese dressing and celery sticks.
