- 5 oz Cooking apples
- ½ Lemon Lemon juice
- 3/4 cup Light muscovado sugar
- 6 tablespoons Water
- Mary Berry crumble mix (For the topping)
- 6½ tablespoons Plain flour
- 1/3 cup Porridge oats
- 5½ oz Walnuts (roughly chopped)
- 1/3 cup Sunflower seeds
- 3½ oz Softened butter
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Peel and thinly slice the apples.
In a small pot, combine lemon juice, sugar, and six tablespoons of water.
Bring to a boil, then bake for 20 minutes until the apples are tender.
In a mixing bowl, combine dry topping ingredients.
Blend butter into dry ingredients until a crumble forms.
Spread the mixture evenly on a baking tray.
Bake until golden and crisp (about 20 minutes).
Break up the crumble and sprinkle it over hot apples.
