Alton brown Peanut butter fudge is the perfect treat for any peanut butter fan. The creamy peanut butter fudge is made with peanut butter, vanilla extract, butter, and sugar to create a rich, creamy candy that will delight any sweet tooth.
Prepare an 8-inch square pan by greasing it with butter. Line the pan with a piece of parchment paper that is 8 inches wide. Leave enough overhand on two sides of the pan to cover the top with later.
In a 4-quart microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and peanut butter. Cover with plastic wrap. Make a few holes in the plastic wrap to release the steam, and microwave it for 2 minutes on high. Stir and microwave it for another 2 minutes.
Combine the vanilla and powdered sugar with the peanut butter mixture using a wooden spoon. Stir until mixture becomes difficult to stir and loses sheen.
In the prepared pan, spread the mixture evenly. Fold the excess parchment paper over the fudge and refrigerate for about two hours.
Remove from the refrigerator and cut into 1-inch pieces. Place in an air-tight container and store at room temperature for up to a week.
