  • Unsalted butter, 16 tablespoons
  • Smooth peanut butter, 1 cup
  • Vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon
  • Powdered sugar, 3 3/4 cups

Step By Step Instructions To Make Alton Brown Peanut Butter Fudge

Step 1

Prepare an 8-inch square pan by greasing it with butter. Line the pan with a piece of parchment paper that is 8 inches wide. Leave enough overhand on two sides of the pan to cover the top with later.

Step 2

In a 4-quart microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and peanut butter. Cover with plastic wrap. Make a few holes in the plastic wrap to release the steam, and microwave it for 2 minutes on high. Stir and microwave it for another 2 minutes.

Step 3

Combine the vanilla and powdered sugar with the peanut butter mixture using a wooden spoon. Stir until mixture becomes difficult to stir and loses sheen.

Step 4

In the prepared pan, spread the mixture evenly. Fold the excess parchment paper over the fudge and refrigerate for about two hours. 

Step 5

Remove from the refrigerator and cut into 1-inch pieces. Place in an air-tight container and store at room temperature for up to a week.
