Ingredients
  

  • 10 qt Lions Mane Mushrooms (2 inch pieces)
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp old bay seasoning
  • 1 tsp cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp potato starch or corn starch
  • 1 cup unsweetened alternative milk

Instructions
 

  • Add all the dry ingredients to a medium bowl.
  • Pour 1 cup of unsweetened alternative milk and mix that up until you get a nice consistent smooth batter. if you feel like the batter is a little too thick feel free to add a little more alternative milk.
  • Coat the mushroom pieces with the batter and put them into a strainer.
  • Pour vegetable oil into a pot and make sure the temperature around 375 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Put mushrooms into the oil and cook for about 3 minutes. make sure to flip them halfway because these mushrooms actually tend to float to the top instead of a sink to the bottom and you want to be able to cook both sides of the mushrooms.
  • Sprinkle on a little salt.
  • Ta-da, crispy fried lion's mane mushroom is ready. Serve immediately.
