1cup (250 mL) Red kidney beans (cooked, rinsed and drained)
1 cup Black beans (rinsed and drained)
1 Medium tomato (seeded and chopped)
1cup Canned tomato (chopped)
1 tablespoonChili powder
1 teaspoonGround cumin
Lime wedges
Coriander
Instructions
In a large saucepan, brown ground beef with onions and garlic for 5-7 minutes. Drain.
Add all other ingredients, except rice, lime, and cilantro. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.
While simmering, prepare rice following package instructions. Serve chili with rice. Garnish with lime and cilantro.
Notes
Sprinkle shredded cheese on top for extra flavour.
