Pioneer Woman Coconut custard pie is a delicious dessert that has a wonderful flavor. I usually make it during the holidays, so I thought I would share it with my readers. It is a very rich and creamy dessert that is great to make for the holidays. This pie is made with delicious homemade coconut filling, whipped cream, and a flaky pie crust. I like to garnish it with whipped cream, toasted coconut, and a cherry on top!
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Line a deep-dish pie plate with the pie crust and flute the edges.
In a medium bowl, combine the sugar, flour, and salt. Pour milk, butter, eggs, vanilla, almonds, and nutmeg into a mixing bowl and stir until everything is well combined.
Add the coconut flakes to the filling and mix well. Then, pour the filling into the pie shell.
On the bottom rack of the oven, place the pie and bake for 45 to 55 minutes, until the pie’s filling is firm, starting to puff up, and its top is golden brown.
Remove the pie from the oven when it is no longer jiggly loose in the centre, and cool it on a cooling rack.
Make sure that your Pioneer Woman Coconut custard pie reaches room temperature completely before slicing. Enjoy!
