Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 cup Butter cold
  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 2 tbsp Melted butter for topping

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine sugar flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.
  • Slice the cold butter into small cubes and cut it into the dry mixture with a pastry blender until there are no large chunks left.
  • Stir in buttermilk and milk until dough forms. Sprinkle flour on a working surface and roll until 1/2 inch thick.
  • Use a 3 inch biscuit cutter or glass to cut biscuits and arrange on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  • Bake the biscuits for 22 to 24 minutes or until the tops are light brown. After that, brush tops with melted butter.
