1pre-made pizza doughor your favorite homemade dough
1cupricotta cheese
1/2cupmozzarella cheeseshredded
1cupfresh blackberries
1/4cupfresh basil leaveschopped
2tablespoonsolive oil
1tablespoonhoney
salt and pepperto taste
balsamic glazeoptional, for drizzling
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat as well.
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer the dough to a pizza peel or an inverted baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush the dough with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. In a small bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with salt and pepper to taste.
Spread the seasoned ricotta evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a 1-inch border for the crust.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella over the ricotta. Drizzle with honey and the remaining tablespoon of olive oil.
Bake for 8-10 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
Remove from oven and immediately top with fresh blackberries and chopped basil leaves.
Return to oven for 2-3 minutes just to warm the blackberries slightly.
Remove from oven, drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired, and let cool for 2-3 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Storage tip: Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers keep in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in a 350°F oven for 5-7 minutes to restore crispiness. Pat blackberries dry before adding to prevent excess moisture on the pizza.
