INGREDIENTS 

For Tomato Sauce

  • One chopped Spanish onion
  • Two chopped garlic
  • Crushed tomatoes
  • Two  bay leaves
  • One tbsp thyme 
  • One fresh rosemary
  • Pepper and salt 
  • Two small carrots, finely diced 
  • 1/2 bottle of red wine, full boiled
  • Two cups of sliced shiitake, mushrooms, and oyster

For Meatballs 

  • 1/2 cup of seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 lb of ground pork
  • 1  diced large Spanish onion
  • 1 tsp grill seasoning
  • 2 tsp chopped parsley leaves
  • 2 tsp of balsamic vinegar 

For Stuffed Chicken 

  • Six basil leaves
  • 3 tsp goat cheese 
  • Toothpicks 
  • 3 chicken breast pieces, thin cut, pounded flat
  • One red peeled, seeded, and roasted pepper

Other Meats 

  • One lb  pork loin, filled with garlic cloves
  • Four Italian sausage
  • Boiled eggs
  • Beef with bone,
  • Lasagna sheets

Step By Step Instructions For Cooking Mario Batali Sunday Gravy

Step1

Take a large stockpot, fry onion with a little olive oil for 5 mins until it begins to caramelize. Add red pepper, flakes, and mushrooms, and continue to fry for another 3 minutes. Add garlic and tomato paste and cook for another 3 minutes.

Add a half bottle of red wine and stir well to mix. Leave on a medium flame for 5 minutes until the wine in the pot reduces to 1/3. Put short ribs in the sauce and bring it to simmer. Make medium incisions across pork tenderloin with a knife and stuff it with cloves of garlic. Place this pork in sauce.

Step3

Place all the ingredients needed for meatballs in a bowl and mix it. Bake meatballs at 350 for 20 minutes. Add meatballs in the sauce after baking. Slice sausage in thirds and put in the sauce. 

Step4

Almost one hour before serving, hard boil six eggs and add 1 tsp vinegar and salt and leave it to cool.  Put bell pepper under a broiler for five minutes until blackens. Put it in plastic bags and cool. Season chicken breast pieces with pepper and salt. Spread soft cheese on it. Top it with basil and roasted pepper. Secure it with a toothpick after rolling it and dip it in the sauce.

Step5

Boil pasta in a pot. Roll lasagna noodles and slice them into wide strips. Toss on it some sauce from Sunday Gravy. Peel hard-boiled eggs and place them in the sauce for 10 minutes.
