If you’re a fan of the popular fast-food chain McDonald’s, then you’ve probably tried their delicious Italian beef egg rolls. These egg rolls are a delicious and affordable meal that is quick and easy to prepare. Generally, egg rolls can be prepared in no time, and they are very cheap to buy because of their quick preparation. They are a popular choice for people looking for a quick and delicious meal.

Every year Italian Beef Egg Rolls are eaten as a part of Thanksgiving Eve. It is a traditional food of the Italian-American community and of Roman heritage. The origins of the dish are unknown but it is widely believed that it was basically invented by Italian immigrants to America in the late 1860s.

This recipe has been featured on my Instagram for a few weeks now. I found it at one of the many Italian food blogs out there. Once I added the egg rolls to my recipe list, I was excited to make them for my family. This recipe is really easy to make! There are many Asian recipes I have come across online that are written in terms of “just add water”, but this is not one of them. You have to cook the egg rolls in lots of water to get the right texture.

How To Make Italian Beef Egg Rolls

The Italian beef egg roll is a delicious appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. It’s easy to make, and it only takes about 1 hour from start to finish! This recipe has been passed on through generations of my family, so I’m proud to share it with you today. Give this a try – you’ll love it! 

Ingredients

  • Bacon or salami (cut into 1-inch pieces), 2 slices
  • Seasoned bread crumbs, 1/2 cup
  • Parmesan cheese (grated), 1/4 cup
  • Garlic salt, 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley (minced), 1 teaspoon
  • Salt, 1/2 teaspoon
  • Pepper, 1/4 teaspoon
  • 1 large egg (lightly beaten)
  • Hot water, 2 tablespoons
  • 1 beef top round steak (1-1/2 pounds and 1/2-inch thick)
  • Canola oil, 2 tablespoons
  • Water, 3/4 cup
  • Spaghetti sauce
  • Pasta (Cooked)

Instructions

Step 1

In a small bowl, combine the Bacon or salami, Seasoned bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, Garlic salt, Fresh parsley, Salt, Pepper, egg, and hot water.

Step 2

Pour mixture over beef. Then, starting at the long end, roll it up jelly-roll style. Tie it with string.

Step 3

Heat up oil and brown the meat evenly in a heavy skillet or Dutch oven. Cover with water and bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Allow cooling for five minutes.

Step 4

Trim string from steak; cut into 1-1/2-in. pieces. Serve with pasta sauce and spaghetti.
