  • Garlic cloves (minced), 2 
  • Asparagus (cut into 1/2-inch pieces), 4 1/2 cups
  • Chicken broth, 3 1/2 cups
  • Sea salt, 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper, 1 teaspoon 
  • Heavy cream, 1 cup
  • Sour cream (optional)
  • Fresh dill (optional)

Instructions

Step 1

Melt butter in a Dutch oven over medium heat. Add garlic and saute for about 1-2 minutes or until fragrant.

Step 2

Add the asparagus and sauté for about 5 minutes, until it turns bright green.

Step 3

Stir in the chicken broth, salt, and pepper, and bring to a boil over high heat.

Step 4

Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes until the asparagus is very soft.

Step 5
