Oven vs. Air Frying Frozen Pizza Rolls

People typically prepare pizza rolls in the microwave or in the oven. But deep-frying food is not good for health. The pizza rolls often turn out soggy, even when baked at a high temperature and turned halfway through. If you microwave pizza rolls, they will become limp and rubbery, with an unpleasant, gummy texture.

What Is The Recommended Cooking Time For Air Frying Frozen Pizza Rolls?

Once you put the frozen pizza rolls into the air fryer in an even layer, they will only take 6 minutes to cook. If you cook more than half a bag, you will have to cook them for an additional 3-4 minutes.

How To Make Pizza Rolls Extra Crispy

It is not necessary to use additional oil while air frying pizza rolls, but if you desire them to be super crisp, you can add a couple of spritzes of olive oil.

How To Serve Air Fryer Frozen Pizza Rolls

You can serve these pizza rolls as a lunch, dinner, or snack. Traditionally, they are served with an extra dish of warm pizza or marinara sauce for dipping. Alternatively, you could serve them with cheese sauce or garlic dip, or you could just serve them plain. What Sauce To Serve With Air Fryer Frozen Pizza Rolls?

Pizza Sauce

It’s not just for pizzas! Pizza sauce works well with all kinds of dishes! You’ll love this thick, rich sauce as much as I do. Whether you’re making meatball subs, pizza rolls, chicken parm, eggplant parm or just for dipping breadsticks, this sauce is perfect. It’s a simple, quick red sauce that can be used for anything.

Classic Marinara Sauce

Marinara sauce is a very simple sauce to prepare! The best marinara sauce is made of fresh tomatoes simmered with aromatics and herbs. Use for pasta, meatballs, pizza rolls, and as a dip! A perfect freezer-friendly sauce that’s easy to make from scratch!

Mustard and Barbeque Dip

This mustard-based BBQ sauce has the perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy flavours. A combination of apple cider vinegar and yellow mustard provides a significant amount of tanginess, even though yellow mustard is fairly tangy on its own. Honey and brown sugar give the food a wonderful sweetness, while seasonings and cayenne pepper add a spicy element to the dish.

Spicy cheese sauce

Making spicy cheese sauce at home is remarkably easy. You can make it pretty quickly. You can use it as a dip, nacho cheese, as a sauce for mac and cheese, as a topping for fries and more.

What You’ll Need For Air Frying Frozen Pizza Rolls

Frozen pizza rolls: Go to the grocery store and grab a bag of 50 counts of pizza rolls. You should be able to serve eight people with this amount. If you have a huge crowd, make sure to get more pizza rolls.

Oil Spray (Optional): Air fryers don’t need any extra oil to cook pizza rolls, but for extra crispy rolls, toss them in a bit of olive oil before cooking them.

Dipping Sauce: The best way to eat pizza rolls is to dip them in sauce, or to drizzle sauce over the top. We like tomato sauce, but salsa, shredded cheese, and sour cream are even better.
