How To Make Cheesecake Factory Fried Mac And Cheese

Ingredients To Make Cheesecake Factory Fried Mac And Cheese
- 3 cups Mac & Cheese store
- Butter (as needed)
- Vegetable Oil (for frying)
- 3 Eggs
- 3 tablespoon Milk
- 1 1/2 cups Panko Bread Crumbs
- Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper (to taste)
- Marinara Sauce (for serving)
- Freshly grated or shaved Parmesan Cheese (for garnish)
Step By Step instructions To Make Cheesecake Factory Fried Mac And Cheese
Step 1
Cook pasta just slightly under done according to the recipe or instructions on the box.
Step 2
Prepare a large square glass pan by buttering it. Place the mac and cheese in a pan. Ensure that the mixture is thinly spread.
Step 3
Place the pan in the refrigerator for about two hours, or until the mac & cheese is cold. Take it out of the refrigerator when fully chilled and place it on a work surface.
Step 4
Form a ball of about 1 1/2 inches from a tablespoon of cold mac & cheese. Put the ball on a foil-lined cookie sheet. You can repeat this process until you’ve used all the mac & cheese.
Step 5
Place the cookie sheet in the freezer and chill for about an hour. Remove the pan from the freezer and place it on a work surface. Put each mac & cheese into your hands one by one and compress to make them firm and tight.
Step 6
Return them to the same cookie sheet. Place the sheet back in the freezer for one more hour. Over medium high heat, heat vegetable oil in a large stockpot or Dutch oven.
Step 7
Preheat the oven to 200°F. Crack the eggs into a small bowl. Then add the milk. Beat with a whisk. Place aside.
Step 8
Add the Panko bread crumbs and salt and pepper to taste to a medium to large bowl. Place aside. Make sure you remove mac & cheese from the freezer just before cooking so they stay chilled.
Step 9
Dip mac & cheese balls in the egg mixture one at a time. Be sure to roll it around to ensure that it is fully coated. Drop the bread crumbs in the Panko bread crumbs after removing from the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off. Make sure each mac & cheese ball is fully coated.
Step 10
Place a few balls at a time in the hot vegetable oil, do not crowd them. Once they are done, cook them until light brown.
Step 11
Drain the oil by placing the browned balls on a towel-covered plate. As the balls are cooked, place them on a foil covered baking sheet and place them in a warm oven to keep warm while you cook the rest and until they are ready to be served.
Step 12
In a small saucepan, place marinara sauce. Put it on the stovetop and heat it to a good serving temperature over medium heat.
Step 13
Put a spoonful of marinara sauce on each serving plate. Then place 2 to 4 warm mac & cheese balls on top of the marinara sauce.
Step 14
Add a little sauce to the top of the balls. Add a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. Warm the serving dish. Enjoy!
