Ingredients

  • Alaskan King Crab Legs, 3 
  • Eggs, 2 
  • Water, 2 tablespoon
  • Flour, 3/4 cup
  • Garlic Powder, 1/2 teaspoon
  • Onion Powder, 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt, 1/4 teaspoon
  • Pepper, 1/4 teaspoon
  • Old Bay Seasoning (divided), 1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cayenne Pepper (divided), 1 teaspoon
  • Panko Breadcrumbs, 3/4 cup

Instructions

Step 1

Remove the meat from the shell using scissors or crab crackers. Once the legs are done. Wash them with water, then dry them with paper.

Step 2

Combine two eggs with two tablespoons of water in a large bowl. Mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, 1 teaspoon Old Bay, and 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper in another large bowl.

Step 3

Mix remaining Old Bay seasoning, remaining cayenne pepper, and panko bread crumbs together in a third shallow bowl. Place aside.

Step 4

Spread flour mixture on both sides of the crab legs and shake off excess. Coat both sides evenly. Let the legs soak in the egg mixture on both sides and let the excess drip off.

Step 5

Apply the breadcrumb mixture on both sides of the crab legs and gently press to get the breading to stick.

Step 6

In a Dutch oven or deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil to 350°F-375°F, using an oil thermometer to measure the temperature.

Step 7

Cook the breadcrumbs crab legs for about 6 minutes, flipping every 2 minutes until golden brown. Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

Step 8

Delicious fried crab legs are ready. You can serve it with any dipping sauce of your choice.
