  • Vinegar, 2 tablespoons
  • Salt, 1 1⁄2 teaspoons
  • Sugar, 1 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper, 1⁄4 teaspoon 
  • Celery (thinly sliced), 1 cup
  • Onion (chopped), 1⁄2 cup
  • Hard-cooked eggs (chopped), 2

Instructions

Step 1

Cover potatoes with water in a 4-quart saucepot and bring to a boil over medium heat.

Step 2

Simmer potatoes for 10 minutes or until they are tender. Remove from heat and drain and cool.

Step 3

Combine Hellmann’s Mayonnaise, salt, vinegar, sugar, and pepper in a large bowl. 

Step 4

Add celery, potatoes, onions, and eggs and mix gently. Let stand at room temperature or serve chilled.
