old hickory house brunswick stew recipe

Most people have a favourite restaurant they love to go to. For me, I always loved going to Old Hickory House. It had the perfect atmosphere for a family dinner or just hanging out with friends. The food was delicious and they always had something new on their menu every time I went there. There is nothing better than sitting down at one of those tables and enjoying some good conversation over a nice meal that tastes like home cooking!

Today I am going to share with you an old hickory house Brunswick stew recipe which is extremely delicious and straightforward. Brunswick stew is a famous Southern American stew that is made from pork shoulder, chicken and ham. These ingredients are slowly cooked and purged in a combination of tomato and wine. The stew traditionally called “Brunswick stew” is a recipe that is popular in the Southern United States and other parts of the American South.

The best thing about this recipe is there are no rules, you can add whatever you want. If you like things spicy then go ahead and add two jalapenos instead of one. I also added some potatoes because they were on sale at the grocery store but they really aren’t necessary if you are trying to save money. This meal will definitely warm up any cold winter day without breaking the bank!
