For The Waffles:
- Hungry Jack Complete Buttermilk Pancake & Waffle Mix, 2 cups
- Vegetable Oil, 1/4 cup
- 1 egg (large-sized)
- Water, 1-1/4 cups
- Cooking Spray (No-Stick)
For The Sandwich:
- Sausage patties, 8
- Large eggs, 8
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Hungry Jack Original Syrup
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare a 4-inch square waffle iron by heating it. Spray your waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray.
Step 2
Add the pancake mix, water, egg, and oil to a bowl and whisk until the batter is smooth.
Step 3
Over the hot waffle iron, pour 1 cup batter evenly and cook until golden brown. Repeat this process to make 16 waffles.
Step 4
Cook sausage patties in a large skillet for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, or until thoroughly cooked. Once the patty has reached 165 F, place it on a paper towel-lined plate.
Step 5
In the same skillet, cook one egg at a time until the egg whites are completely set and the yolks are almost set, then break the yolk and flip the egg to cook on the other side. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Step 6
Make a sandwich by placing a waffle on a plate, adding a sausage patty, an egg and another waffle on top. Slice each sandwich diagonally and make eight sandwiches overall.
