Ingredients

  • 4 lbs prime rib
  • 5 lbs coarse salt
  • Black pepper powder
  • Lawry’s seasoned salt
  • Garlic 

Instructions (step by step guide recipe)

Step 1 

Bring the beef to room temperature before seasoning.

Step 2

Apply a layer of Lawry’s seasoned salt on the beef ribs and let it stay for 120 minutes before roasting.

Step 3

Loosely wrap the seasoned beef ribs in butcher paper.

Step 4

Wrapping will keep the prime rib roast altogether with bones when tied with a string.

Step 5

After 2 hours of seasoning, make sure whether beef ribs are moisturized or dry. Pat it with a kitchen towel to ensure dryness of roast.

Step 6

Spread salt evenly in a heavy roasting pan. Place cooking wire sheet for roasting prime beef ribs. 

Step 7

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. 

Step 8

Add flavoring of garlic, salt, and black pepper according to your taste. Adjust a heat resistant thermometer in the upper fatty portion of beef.

Step 9 

Roast it in a preheated oven for 15 minutes to make it light brown. 

Step 10

Lower the temperature to slow roast the beef for 50 minutes at 325 degrees Fahrenheit. 

Step 11

Avoid checking temperature again and again. Cover the cooked beef ribs with aluminum foil for 30 minutes.

Horseradish Creme Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp prepared horseradish, drained
  • 2 Tbsp mayo
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
