Cream, cheese, and bacon are hard to work with, but I did my best to make it something new! The chicken and shrimp together are delicious! Ingredients

For the chicken and Shrimp

  • Extra virgin olive oil, 2 tablespoon
  • hot water, 1/4 cup
  • Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped garlic, 1 teaspoon
  • Chicken breast strips (boneless and skinless), 3/4 lb 
  • Large shrimp (peeled and deveined), 3/4 lb 

For the Sauce

  • Butter, 2 tablespoon
  • Garlic (Chopped), 3/4 teaspoon
  • Bacon bits, 1 tablespoon
  • All purpose Flour, 1 tablespoon
  • Parmesan cheese (grated), 1/4 cup
  • Heavy cream, 1/3 cup
  • Skim milk, 1/2 cups

For the chicken and shrimp

  • Red peppers (roasted), cut into small strips, 1/4 cup
  • Green pepper (roasted), cut into small strips, 1/4 cup of 
  • Bacon bits, 1 tablespoon
  • Onion, 1/4 cup
  • Hot cooked rice, 6 cups

Instructions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a bowl, mix extra virgin olive oil, hot water, garlic, and seasoning.

Step 2

Then add the chicken strips and shrimp. Put them in the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes.

Step 3

For the sauce, over medium heat, melt the butter in a large saucepan. Combine the bacon bits with the garlic. Stir frequently for 5 minutes.

Step 4

Mix the flour, cream, milk, pepper, and salt with the parmesan cheese. Use a wire whisk to combine these ingredients. Boil the mixture. Reduce the heat and let it simmer.

Step 5

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. When the skillet is hot, add the chicken. Stir in the red and green peppers, the onion, and the bacon bits. Lightly brown both sides of the chicken for 3-5 minutes. Once the chicken has browned, add the shrimp and cook for an additional 3 minutes.

Step 6

Pour the sauce and stir until well combined. Distribute hot, cooked rice on a large platter. Drizzle the sauce, chicken and shrimp over the rice. Serve!
