Ingredients
- All-purpose flour, 2 cups
- Dark chocolate wafers, 16 ounces
- Unsalted butter, 1 cup
- Powdered sugar, 3/4 cup
- Vanilla, 1 tablespoon
- Baking powder, 1 teaspoon
- Edible gold dusting powder
For The Royal icing:
- Egg whites (pasteurized), 3 ounces
- Vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon
- Confectioners’ sugar, 4 cups
Instructions
Step 1
Combine butter and powdered sugar in a mixing bowl and mix until fluffy and light. Add vanilla extract and mix again.
Step 2
Add flour and baking powder and mix slowly until the mixture is well combined.
Step 3
Roll the mixture into a ball, wrap it with plastic wrap, and keep it in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
For The Chocolate toppers And Royal Icing:
Step 1
In the microwave, melt the chocolate. Transfer to a zip-top bag and seal.
Step 2
On a cookie sheet, place the molds and carefully fill them with chocolate.
Step 3
Then freeze them for five to seven minutes until they can be popped out. Follow the same procedure for 24 to 30 toppers.
Step 4
In a bowl, squeeze extra chocolate.
Cut And Bake Cookies:
Step 1
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Roll out the cookie dough on a floured surface, then cut it into snowman shapes.
Step 2
Place the cookies on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. When done, remove from the oven.
For The Royal icing:

Beat the egg whites and vanilla together until frothy. Gradually add sugar, mixing at a low speed until the mixture is shiny and combined.

Beat the mixture on high speed for 7 to 8 minutes until stiff, glossy peaks form. Fill a pastry bag with the icing.
