  • 3 pureed white onions
  • 4 oz Chipotle chilis (I cooked dehydrated chilis so they were soft before pureeing, then strained them before blending)
  • 5 teaspoon tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 bulb of homemade roasted garlic
  • 21 oz. fire-roasted tomatoes

Step By Step Instructions To Make Hello Fresh Tex Mex Paste

Step 1

Trim the ends of the garlic bulb. Sprinkle olive oil over the garlic and wrap it in tin foil to bake for 30 to 45 minutes at 400 degrees F.

Step 2

Pour water into a small pot. Add 4 oz dried chilis to the water. Allow to simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until they are soft.

Step 3

Slice the onion and place it in a blender or food processor. Add baked garlic, softened chilis (drained), and fire-roasted tomatoes (drained). Process the mixture until smooth.

Step 4

Place the puree in the pot. Stir in the rest of the wet ingredients.

Step 5
