This recipe is a copycat version of his favourite flavour, vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce. The best part about it? It only takes 5 minutes to make!
Ingredients
- Heavy whipping cream, 2 quarts
- Sugar, 1 cup
- 1 vanilla bean
- 6 large egg yolks
Instructions
Step 1
In a large saucepan, combine the cream, egg yolks, vanilla bean, and sugar. Whip until thickened. Reduce the heat to low. Melt the sugar. Make sure the mixture does not boil. Stir continuously.
Step 2
Put the mixture in the bowl of an ice cream maker. Clean the vanilla bean and remove the seeds. Churn until it reaches the desired thickness.
Step 3
Put the mixture in a box and refrigerate for at least six hours or overnight. Enjoy!
