- Lowfat buttermilk, 1/3 cup
- Salt, 1/4 teaspoon
- Freshly ground pepper, 1/4 teaspoon
- Nonstick cooking spray
- Chicken breasts (boneless and skinless), 1 1/2 pounds
- Unseasoned bread crumbs, 1 cup
- All-purpose flour, 1/3 cup
- 1 egg (beaten)
- Cornflakes (crushed), 1 cup
- Italian seasoning, 1/2 teaspoon
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Slice the chicken breasts into half-inch pieces.
Step 2
Cover the chicken with buttermilk and place in a shallow dish. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Spray nonstick cooking spray on a cookie sheet or baking sheet.
Step 4
In a shallow bowl, combine the bread crumbs, corn flakes, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Step 5
Put your egg in another shallow bowl and beat it. Take a shallow plate and put the flour on it.
Step 6
Flour the chicken fingers, then dip them in the egg, and finally cover them with the cornflakes and bread crumbs.
Step 7
Prepare your baking sheet by arranging the chicken fingers. Bake for approximately eight minutes, or until fully cooked.
