Ingredients

  • Fresh cranberries (washed and sorted), 1 pound
  • Orange juice (freshly squeezed), 1/4 cup 
  • 100% cranberry juice (not cocktail), 1/4 cup
  • Honey, 1 cup

Step By Step Instructions To Make Alton Brown Cranberry Sauce

Step 1

In a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, combine orange juice, cranberry juice, and honey.

Step 2

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low and let simmer for five minutes. 

Step 3

Add the cranberries and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the berries burst and the mixture thickens.

Step 4

Do not cook the sauce longer than 15 minutes as the pectin will begin to break down and the sauce will not set properly. 

Step 5

Take the sauce off the heat and let it cool for five minutes.

Step 6

Pour the cranberry sauce carefully into a 3-cup mold. Let it sit in the refrigerator for at least six hours or overnight.

Step 7

Remove from the refrigerator, turn the mold upside down, and remove the sauce. Cut into slices and serve. Enjoy!
