How To Make Mexican Coffee
Today, I’m going to share with you how to make a Mexican Coffee Recipe which is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. This recipe has been passed down for generations and has become the favourite go-to drink in many Mexican households. It’s easy, it tastes great, and it will keep you warm all winter long!
Ingredients
- Freshly brewed hot coffee, 8 oz
- Coffee liqueur (such as Kahlua), 2 oz
- Tequila, 2 oz
- Heavy cream, 3 oz
- Sugar, 2 teaspoons
- Ground cinnamon (for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1
Pour hot coffee into 2 Irish coffee mugs or glasses about halfway. Stir in coffee liqueur and tequila. Mix well.
Step 2
Use a hand mixer to whip cream until it is between liquid and whipped cream. Your goal should be loose, pourable whipped cream. Add sugar as well and whip until well combined.
Step 3
Put a teaspoon upside down over the top of a mug. Fill the mug with whipped cream by pouring it slowly over the spoon. Repeat with the second mug. Sprinkle cinnamon on top.
